Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking pan
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and cloves
- In a separate bowl, cream butter until light and fluffy
- Beat in eggs one at a time
- Add applesauce and vanilla extract, mixing well
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined
- Fold in chopped walnuts and raisins
- Pour batter into prepared pan
- Bake for 40-45 minutes until toothpick inserted comes out clean
- Cool in pan for 10 minutes before removing to wire rack
