
Boston Butt Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 Boston butt pork shoulder (4-5 pounds)
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F
- In a small bowl, mix all dry seasonings
- Rub seasoning mixture all over the pork shoulder
- Place pork in a roasting pan
- Mix apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and olive oil
- Pour mixture over the pork
- Cover tightly with foil
- Roast for 5-6 hours until meat is tender
- Remove foil and increase oven temperature to 400°F
- Roast for 15 minutes to brown the outside
- Let rest for 15 minutes before shredding
- Serve with barbecue sauce
