Ingredients

  • 2 pounds fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 6 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1/2 cup onions, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F
  2. Cook bacon in a large skillet until crispy
  3. Remove bacon and set aside, reserving drippings
  4. Add onions and garlic to the skillet
  5. Cook until softened, about 3 minutes
  6. Add brown sugar, soy sauce, butter, and Worcestershire sauce
  7. Stir until sugar dissolves
  8. Add green beans and toss to coat
  9. Season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes
  10. Transfer to a baking dish
  11. Bake for 20-25 minutes until tender
  12. Garnish with reserved bacon and serve
