
Lava Chicken Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Instructions
- Toss chicken with cornstarch, salt, and black pepper
- Heat oil in a large wok or skillet over high heat
- Add chicken and cook until golden brown and crispy, about 8 minutes
- Remove chicken and set aside
- Add garlic and ginger to the pan, stir-fry for 30 seconds
- Return chicken to the pan
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, rice vinegar, honey, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes
- Pour sauce over chicken and toss to coat
- Cook for 2-3 minutes until sauce thickens
- Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds
- Serve immediately over steamed rice
