Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 package McCormick Chili Seasoning Mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
  3. Add diced onion and minced garlic, cooking until softened.
  4. Drain excess fat from the pot.
  5. Add kidney beans, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and McCormick Chili Seasoning Mix.
  6. Pour in water and stir to combine.
  7. Season with salt and black pepper.
  8. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour.
  9. Stir occasionally and add more water if needed.
