Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 package active dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro

Instructions

  1. In large bowl, mix flour, salt, and baking powder
  2. In separate bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water
  3. Add sugar and let stand for 5 minutes
  4. Add yogurt and olive oil to yeast mixture
  5. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients
  6. Mix until dough forms
  7. Knead on floured surface for 5 minutes
  8. Place in greased bowl and let rise for 1 hour
  9. Divide dough into 8 equal pieces
  10. Roll each piece into oval
  11. Cook in hot skillet for 2-3 minutes per side
  12. Brush with melted butter and garnish with cilantro
