
Naan Recipe with Yogurt
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt
- 1/4 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 package active dry yeast
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro
Instructions
- In large bowl, mix flour, salt, and baking powder
- In separate bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water
- Add sugar and let stand for 5 minutes
- Add yogurt and olive oil to yeast mixture
- Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients
- Mix until dough forms
- Knead on floured surface for 5 minutes
- Place in greased bowl and let rise for 1 hour
- Divide dough into 8 equal pieces
- Roll each piece into oval
- Cook in hot skillet for 2-3 minutes per side
- Brush with melted butter and garnish with cilantro
