Special Notes
Nopales are a traditional Mexican vegetable made from cactus pads. They have a slightly tangy, green bean-like flavor and are packed with nutrients. The key is cooking them long enough to remove the slimy texture. You can also grill nopales for a different flavor profile. They're perfect as a side dish with Mexican meals or can be added to tacos, salads, or scrambled eggs. Store any leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
