Ingredients

  • 1 pound oyster mushrooms
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Clean mushrooms and tear into large pieces.
  2. Heat butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add mushrooms in a single layer and cook without stirring for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Flip mushrooms and cook for another 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Add garlic, thyme, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  6. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Remove from heat and stir in parsley and lemon juice.
  8. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.
  9. Serve immediately as a side dish or over pasta.
