Special Notes
These authentic pretzel buns are perfect for sandwiches. The combination of baking soda and boiling creates the classic pretzel flavor. The key is to not overboil the buns to prevent them from becoming too soft. This recipe is perfect for special occasions and can be made ahead of time. For extra flavor, you can add different herbs or spices. The buns should be completely cool before storing.
