
Soy Sauce Eggs Recipe
Ingredients
- 6 large eggs
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup mirin
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon sake
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 inch fresh ginger, grated
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Instructions
- Place eggs in saucepan and cover with water
- Bring to a boil and cook for 6 minutes
- Remove and place in ice water
- Peel eggs and set aside
- In saucepan, combine soy sauce, mirin, sugar, and sake
- Add garlic and ginger
- Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes
- Add eggs and simmer for 10 minutes
- Remove from heat and let cool
- Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds
- Serve at room temperature
