
Swedish Apple Cake Recipe
Ingredients
- 4 large apples, peeled and sliced
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)
- Grease a 9-inch springform pan
- Arrange apple slices in the bottom of the pan
- In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar
- Beat in eggs one at a time
- Add flour, baking powder, salt, and vanilla
- Mix until smooth
- Pour batter over apples
- Sprinkle with cinnamon, nutmeg, and almonds
- Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden
- Cool in pan for 10 minutes
- Remove from pan and dust with powdered sugar
