Special Notes

These classic Southern tea cakes are simple, tender cookies that pair perfectly with afternoon tea or coffee. They have a subtle sweetness and delicate texture that makes them ideal for any occasion. The key is not to overbake them - they should remain soft and cake-like. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. These cookies freeze well and can be made ahead for special occasions.
